Special Edition: Thank YOU!!!

Hey you!

I’m checking on you, yes you… because I care for you. How are you doing? How are you feeling?

I went to bed with you on my mind and woke up with you on my mind. I said a prayer for you. As I have said before, I don’t need to know you or know your needs or circumstances to pray for you. God knows you, by name, and He knows all of your needs. God knows everything about you. One of my callings is to pray for everybody and anybody because whether you believe this or not, we all need prayer and there is power in prayer.

My prayer for you…

I thanked God for you and for letting you see another Thanksgiving holiday. I prayed for you to feel God’s love and peace in your heart and around you. That you will be thankful and enjoy the day no matter your circumstances. I asked God to restore and give you what you need and more, according to His will and in His perfect timing. To keep you safe, strong and healthy during these challenging times. And for the Holy Spirit to keep your faith, love and hope alive, trusting God, and knowing that better days will come. Because this too shall pass. All this and more I prayed for you, in the one and only name that makes things happen, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Reach out to Loved Ones

This pandemic has literally turned the world upside down. We have all suffered great loss in many ways, i.e., precious loved ones, businesses, jobs, homes, cars, money, opportunities and freedom to come and go and do whatever, whenever, wherever, however with whoever (visit loved ones, travel, gather, celebrate, hang-out, touch, hug, kiss, etc.).

Isolation and loneliness are taking a toll on many. If you are feeling lonely and depressed, reach out to someone and depending on how you are feeling, please seek professional help. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to reach out. People want to help you and are there for you but may not know what you’re dealing with. And there are people trained to help you and are ready to do so, you just have to reach out.

If you have family and friends that are alone or you know are having a difficult time, reach out to them, check on them, give them a call, talking helps, text, FaceTime, ZOOM. Help in any way you can. Tell your loved one that you love her/him and care for her/his well-being. That she/he is not alone.

Thank You!!!

Although this is a different kind of a Thanksgiving Holiday, let us make the best of it and be thankful. I encourage you to take this day to say “Thank you!”

Let’s get right to it…

God… Thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ. You sent Him and He came to die so we can live forever. “For God so loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NLT

God and Jesus… Thank You for all the things you have done, are doing and will do for each one of us! Take a moment to think and thank God for the good things He has done for you and your family, through Christ Jesus, Name them one by one. Then thank God for the things He is doing for you right now and His plans for your future.

Healthcare Personnel and First Responders… Thank You!

You selflessly and with dedication put your life on the line for us every day. We honor you! You are our Hero and SHero! You are just TOO AWESOME!!! Thank You and may God keep you safe and protected, and bless you in all areas of your life.

State and Local Officials… Thank You!

You are faced with one of the biggest challenges in our lifetime and you are making decisions to keep our communities safe and running. It’s a hard job and we Thank You. We pray for God’s wisdom and guidance in all you do for us.

Family and Friends… Thank You!

Sometimes while we are all living we don’t say, “Thank You” or say it enough to our loved ones. Then when they’re gone we wish we did.

My mom, Ms. Hyacinth, is my SHero. She taught me everything I know (think smart, be self-sufficient, read, write, clean, cook, laundry, iron, sew, crotchet, do my hair, etc.). And she taught me to do it right, not perfect but right. To do everything with excellence. She taught me to love myself with all of my imperfections, know my worth, have standards, values, self-confidence, self-esteem, decency and to carry myself with grace and elegance, and treat everybody with respect and dignity. Above all, Ma introduced me to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Priceless! Growing-up I didn’t appreciate or value the teachings at times but when I became an adult I realized the treasure my Mom gave me. While she was alive, I made sure that every time we talked I said, “ Ma, Thank You for everything you did for me. I love you!”

I encourage you to say today and at every opportunity, “Thank You!” to your loved ones and to that special someone who has been there for you through thick and thin, have had your back or made a positive difference in your life, i.e., mom, dad, stepmom, stepdad, sister, brother, grandpa, grandma, aunt, uncle, cousin, caregiver, friend, pastor, mentor, coach, teacher, neighbor, supervisor, co-worker, etc..

Let us Remember and Celebrate our Loved Ones who are no longer with us

This is the first Thanksgiving Holiday many are celebrating without their loved ones. My heart goes out to you because I know how you feel. But while you feel sad and miss your loved one, take time to remember and celebrate them and the special moments with them. Grab your family photo albums and reminisce about happy days and old times. Also remember and celebrate those special people who made a positive difference in your life. These memories and special moments will live in your heart forever. Then say, “Lord, Thank You for the people You put in my life and for the special moments I had with them.”

“BIG Thank You” from my heart to yours!

I want to take this opportunity to say “BIG Thank You!” to you, my reader, from my heart to yours. Thank You for reading what God tells me to write and for sharing with your family and friends.

I will continue writing for as long as God wants me to write

As I’ve said before, I’m not a writer, I only write when and what God tells me to write. I’ll have my plans to do this and that, then God tells me He wants me to write and I put my plans aside and write. Like this message. Early this week I had no plans to write. I was going to get up today and cook. Well yesterday God told me that I was going to write a message. He told me it was going to be about “Thank You” and that was it. So yesterday evening I went out scrambling and bought what you see in the photos. I’d like to say, Thank You to my photographer, my son Ricky. Anyway, God woke me up 3:30 a.m. this morning and here it is.

Then there are times I just don’t feel like writing and God lovingly reminds me, “It’s not about you, it’s about Me!” He tells me that every message He tells me to write is for someone. And God does not lie. Every message I’ve written, someone comes back and says to me, “Right on time. I needed that today. It has blessed me. This is confirmation.”

So, I will continue writing for as long as God wants me to write. And I ask you to continue sharing these messages with your family and friends. A particular message may not be for you but it’s for someone. You don’t know who needs what and when or how it will bless someone.

God Thank You for using me in this special way. All praise, honor and glory to Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God, Thank You for my readers, Your readers. I pray that Your messages and Your Word will touch each heart, mind and soul, and lead to Jesus Christ, the only way to You and the only way to heaven. Bless each person in ways they never imagined. Amen

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians 3:18-19 NLT

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. They you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything you can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
