This is my girl Chi, Charlotte Van Horn. I’ve known her for over 10 years. Actually we met because of our husbands who are childhood friends. Let me tell you, when Chi walks into a room, you know she is in the room! She is cheerful, funny and literally the life of the party and you can’t help but want to be part of the party, laughter and fun.
Selflessly she has been an encourager, supporter, promoter and advocate for many people, community, small businesses, causes — name it — going the extra mile. She loves helping people, that’s just who she is.
I remember during my book signing events, Chi would show-up, with a big smile, just to encourage me and support me. I’m forever grateful to her for her love, time and thoughtfulness.
Chi turned her MESS over to God
I love and admire Chi but that’s not why I’m sharing all of this with you. You see, today Chi is an accomplished woman but it was not always this way. She had a hot mess going on in her life that only God could fix. But He could not fix her mess until she turned it over to Him. Her life story is a touching and powerful testimony of God’s grace and restoration in her life. Let me share a snippet of her testimony in her own words…
“In 1993, I felt like my life was over and actually WISHED it was on many days. I was broke, on drugs and I had NO peace in my life. God lifted and delivered me from that despair, He delivered me from drugs, He guided me in raising my baby (when I look back, I KNOW it was Him)! He blessed me with a husband who supported and loved me – and my testimony could go on for days!!! I look at all the blessings in my life and I can trace them all back to the day I decided to TRULY turn my MESS over to God and trust Him to make me whole.”
Chi is truly amazing!
This lady is truly amazing! She stays busy — always with a purpose. Through the years she has received many accolades and honors. Amongst her many accomplishments she is an inventor, Sisterlocks™ Certified Consultant, owner of LOCKS-4-EVER™ LLC (in the United States and now in the Republic of Panamå—you go girl!) and she is also “Charlotte Van Horn-Comedian Extraordinaire.” She is happily married to Al whom she lovingly refers to as “Husband-Man-Friend.” She is a mom, grandmother, sister, friend —name it.
Are you ready to get out of your MESS?
You’ve tried everything and nothing worked. So, are you in a mess right now? Are you ready to get out of your mess? Don’t you think it’s time to truly turn your mess over to God and trust Him to make you whole? If He did it for Chi. Guess what? He’ll do the same for you! If you haven’t figured this out yet, only God can fix your mess and make you whole. And He wants to do it! But you have to make the first move. Don’t wait any longer! Do it right now! Turn your mess over to God and trust Him to make you whole in Jesus’ name.
