Deb: Hanging out with God!

Hanging out with God is what I do!

Hanging out with God is what I do! All the time! Like right now, I’m hanging out with God while doing laundry and He told me to share with you what it’s like hanging out with Him, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. So, I had to stop doing laundry to start writing.

When I’m moving around in the house doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, showering, etc., I hang out with God. We talk about everything and everybody. We talk about me, my husband, my son, what’s going on in the world and about you… Yes you! God reveals things to me, tells me exactly what to do or say and when. He tells me who to reach out to. And He tells me who to write about or what to write. He sure does.

Foremost, hanging out with God is what keeps me sane, grounded and going. He’s the One who keeps me loving when I want to hate, keeps me going when I want stop, keeps me hoping when I want to give-up, keeps me holding on when I want to let go and keeps me writing when I don’t want to write. God gives me that love, peace, joy and hope that surpasses all human understanding.

How to hang out with God?

Hanging out with God means that it is you and God only. If you really want to experience God to His fullest, you can’t have distractions or interruptions. He will not compete with any of that. It has to be quiet! Then you can hear Him clearly. That’s why I move around my house in total quiet… no TV, no cell phone. Just God and me. It’s a beautiful thing!!! Then when we’re done hanging out, I turn on the TV and check my phone.

It’s like when you hang out with your spouse, child, mom/dad, sibling, aunt/uncle, cousin or friend and you all chit chat about things. But hanging out with God is so much better. Priceless! I know some people have experienced this. YAY!!! I also know that there are some who are saying, “What’s she talking about?” Well, I hope that one day you will know what I’m talking about. It’s a taste of heaven!

You too can hang out with God

The good news is that you too can hang out with God. This is not exclusive to a few. It is available to all. But you first have to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Then you can have a personal relationship with God our Father and hang out with Him. Are you ready to accept Jesus? I sure hope you are. Let’s do this right now!

Say this prayer…

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I am calling on You according to Acts 2:21 (NIV): “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. I pray and ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10 (NLT): “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. Amen
