Thank God for His Powerful Reminder

Thank God for His powerful reminder to “Fear NOT” and trust Him no matter what we face. We need this reminder more than ever today to get us through these troubling times.  I’ve been in the U.S. since 1999 and never felt fear until now. With all of the negative and hateful rhetoric, violence and awful things happening, I find myself looking over my shoulder. I’m being extra careful, extra cautious, more mindful, more aware of people and my surroundings. Not a good feeling! 

What are your fears?

God knew that fear is the first emotion that creeps into our hearts and minds when we are faced with adversity, uncertainty, negativity, danger, pain, the unknown. People have many fears, i.e., failing, rejection, what people think of you, what people say about you, your future, uncertainty, death.  I’ll tell you, I fear public speaking, flying, getting stuck in an elevator (this happened to me recently and I had to remind myself to fear not). This past June I had cataract surgery and I’ll tell you that before the surgery I was fearful but God reminded me, “I told you to Fear NOT. I will be right there with you.” I was good after that!

Is fear holding you back?

God tells us that fear is a spirit and it does not come from Him. He knows how detrimental it can be when it takes over our hearts and minds. It’s an awful feeling wanting to do something or knowing that you should do something and it is stopping you. It’s holding you back, holding you hostage, controlling you, not making you advance, not making you reach your goals or achieve your dreams. It is a blessing blocker that limits you and keeps you in bondage.

My God, You told me to Fear NOT!

If fear is holding you back, say this right now, aloud and believing, “My God, You told me to Fear NOT! I trust You, in Jesus’ name.” Jesus is your bondage breaker and in He can break you free. I pray that you will feel God’s love and peace and that you will reach your goals and live your dreams.
