God Knows Everything About You

God knows YOU!

There maybe things about you people don’t know and that’s okay. You decide what you want to or should share with others about you. In my humble opinion, there are just some things you need to keep to yourself because it ain’t nobody’s business, okay. Then there are things that are shared on a need-to-know basis based on the type of relationship (i.e., personal, business, work, etc.).

The truth is, there is no one in this world who knows everything about you. Parents, siblings, spouses, relatives and friends, think they know you and granted, they might know a lot about you but not everything. As a matter of fact, not even you know everything about you. But there is one thing I know… God knows everything about you. Most people really don’t think about this or grasp the magnitude of what I just said so let me repeat it and let it soak in… God knows everything, I mean, everything about you!

God knows your heart and thoughts. He knows you! He knows you better than you know yourself. He knows who/why you love and hate. He knows your potential and limitations. He knows your strengths and weaknesses. He knows what makes you happy and sad. He knows what makes you laugh and cry. He knows what makes you calm and angry. He knows your bright side and your dark side.

God knows your innermost secrets, your skeleton in the closet. You can’t hide anything from Him, you can’t pretend and you can’t deceive Him because He knows it all.

God knows YOU and that’s what really matters

The reason I’m saying all of this is because there are some folks that are so preoccupied about what others think or don’t think of them, and so busy trying to keep up with folks, they lose their identity. These folks go out of their way to impress at any cost, pretending to be who they’re not and putting up a facade.

The truth is, what really matters is that God knows you and what God thinks about you. God knows we are not perfect but He loves us anyway. He may not be happy with some of our choices and decisions but He never gives up on us. He patiently waits for us to come around and many of us do, sooner or later.

This all boils down to… Are you living to please God? Because when you live to please God, you will do the right thing, most of the times. Are you being the best you? Because when you are the best you, you honor God and you bless everyone around you. YAY!

Bible Reflection

“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it Lord. I can never get escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!” Psalm 139:1-4, 7 NLT

“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! Psalm 139:17 NLT

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” Psalm 139:23 NLT

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Proverbs 4:23 NLT

“Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians 4:3 NLT
