Happy Birthday Jesus!

JESUS is the reason for the season! Happy Birthday Jesus!

From the time I became a working young adult I’ve loved shopping for Christmas cards and giving them out. But in 2000 something amazing happened. When I was shopping around for Christmas cards God told me that He wanted me to only buy Christmas cards with Jesus on it because it’s Jesus day. He said “It’s the time of the year to share Jesus’ message (love, peace, joy and hope) with all and to remind everyone that Jesus is the reason for the season.”

So every year I say to my Father, “Father it’s time for us to shop for Christmas cards. What are we getting this year to celebrate the birth of your Son Jesus Christ?” And God picks the card. So my Christmas cards are hand-picked by God. Awesome! The Christmas cards displayed in the photo, except for two, are some of the Christmas cards I’ve given out since 2000.

Okay, I know you’ve been busy and may have not had a chance to read about the miraculous birth of Jesus, the one event that changed my life and yours forever. No worries! I got your back!

Here it goes, straight from the Bible…

Old Testament prophecy of the Birth of Jesus

“Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a Virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, And shall call His name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14 KJV

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: Snd the government shall be upon His shoulder: And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 KJV

The Birth of Jesus foretold

“Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!” Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name Him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His ancestor David. And He will reign over Israel forever; His Kingdom will never end!”” Luke 1:28-33 NLT

“Joseph, her fiancé, was a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly. As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”” Matthew 1:19-21 NLT

The Birth of Jesus

“And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her first born. She gave birth to her first child, a son.” Luke 2:6

“That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior – yes, the Messiah, the Lord – has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!”” Luke 2:8-11 NLT

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” Luke 2:14 NLT

Merry Christmas!!!
