Yes! Jesus is Risen!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
John 3:16-18 NIV

One Last Meal
Jesus and His disciples gathered for one last meal before His arrest and crucifixion.
“Jesus said, “I have been very eager to eat this Passover meal with you before my suffering begins. For I tell you now that I won’t eat this meal again until the Kingdom of God has come.”
Then he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. Then he said “Take this and share it among yourselves. For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come.”
He took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me.”
After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people – an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you.
But here at this table, sitting among us as a friend, is the man who will betray me. For it has been determined that the Son of Man must die. But what sorrow awaits the one who betrays him.””
Luke 22:15-22 NLT
Jesus’ Death
They nailed Jesus’ hands and feet to the cross. He hung on the cross, in agony, for about six hours.
“Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said. “I am thirsty.” A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up his lips. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.”
John 19:28-30 NLT
Jesus is Risen!
On the third day, early Sunday morning, God raised His Son Jesus from the dead! Jesus is risen!
“But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.
The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.”
Luke 24:1-7 NLT
Jesus death and resurrection are the two most important events in human history. Jesus loves you and me so much that He died so you and I can live eternally. He saved us from eternal death. Priceless!
Jesus is Risen! He is the reason for the season! Happy Easter!
If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior…
I encourage you to do it right now! God loves you! His will is for ALL to be saved. However, please know that Jesus is the only way to God and to heaven.
Now say this prayer…
Our Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus I call on You according to Acts 2:21 (NIV): “And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. God our Father, I ask Jesus to come into my heart and be Lord over my life according to Romans 10:9-10 (NLT): “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” I do that now! With my mouth I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. Lord, hear my prayer. Amen
I’m saved! Now what?
Surrender ALL to God and be led by the Holy Spirit. Let go and let God! Get to know God and Jesus in a personal way and build a close relationship with them. How? Go to a Bible preaching and teaching church. Read and study your Bible. Pray without ceasing. Spend quiet time with God. He’ll love, guide, instruct and correct you. He’ll always be with you, in good and bad times. And do what He tells you to do.
If you are a Christian and for whatever reason have strayed away from God
I encourage you to return to Him right now. God never stopped loving you and He wants you back. Call on God! Confess your sin to Him and He will restore you and make you whole again. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 NIV
