Just in case you forgot… JESUS is the REASON for the season

I love Christmas!!! Because this is when we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, JESUS Christ. This is our time to share the Christmas Story with the world. And our opportunity to give the world the gift of the gospel. So, just in case you forgot… Jesus is the reason for the season!

Our Father, Thank You!!!

Take a moment to reflect on JESUS Christ and what His birth means to you.

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NLT

Our Father, who art in heaven, “Thank You” for giving us the best gift ever… Your Son JESUS Christ. Priceless!

The Christmas Story

If you’re spending Christmas alone or with family and friends, please take a moment to read and reflect on the true Christmas Story and the meaning of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Christmas Story straight from the Bible…

Old Testament prophecy of the Birth of Jesus

“Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a Virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, And shall call His name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14 KJV

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: And the government shall be upon His shoulder: And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 KJV

The Birth of Jesus foretold

“Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!” Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. “Don’t be afraid, Mary,” the angel told her, “for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name Him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His ancestor David. And He will reign over Israel forever; His Kingdom will never end!”” Luke 1:28-33 NLT

“Joseph, her fiancé, was a good man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly. As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. “Joseph, son of David,” the angel said, “do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”” Matthew 1:19-21 NLT

The Birth of Jesus

“And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her first born. She gave birth to her first child, a son.” Luke 2:6 NLT

“That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior – yes, the Messiah, the Lord – has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!”” Luke 2:8-11 NLT

“Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” Luke 2:14 NLT
