Hey Michelle! Happy birthday to you!
Hi GiJiM family, meet Michelle. She keeps me up-to-date with stuff because as she lovingly and jokingly says, “Ms. D. you live under a rock.” LOL! Michelle loves God, she loves Jesus and is led by the Holy Spirit. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at 6 years old. Her grandmother, a strong believer, was a great influence in her life.
Michelle is a BIG people’s person. She loves people and has a BIG heart. Moreover, she shows God’s love in the way she treats, interacts and cares for people. She believes in surrounding herself with people that build her up and not tear her down. Most noteworthy she said, “Keep your eyes on the prize “Jesus”; how you represent Him, what you do, say, who you are with.”
Christian Walk is NOT a Walk in the Park
Michelle will quickly tell you that her Christian walk is not a walk in the park. She shared that her struggle is not her faith, it’s making time for God everyday, not when it’s convenient. She said, “We have to remember to make Him the center and plan things around Him.” One of the things she started doing is that when she wakes up, she reads her Bible before doing anything else. Michelle said something to me that resonated with me, “It’s important to have a child like faith when God tells you to do something.” Words of wisdom right here!
Have fun in your Christian Walk!
I was telling Michelle that people, young and old, have the misconception that Christian life is boring and fun-less. So I asked her, what do you do for fun? She answered, “I work a lot but I find time to do fun things. I’m not a planner, not on a time schedule, kinda last minute person. I like going on adventures, hiking, traveling, Christian concerts, movies (no scary movies!).” She is a member of Life Point Church and participates in Paint the Town Red. She is a volunteer at Mt. Ararat Church for the Kids Quest and attends Young Adult Bible Study sometimes.
WOW By The Way…
Michelle is the Office Assistant at S.E.R.V.E., Inc., and I’m her mentor and coach. I share with her my expertise in office and financial management and we have so much fun every time we meet. She always greets me with a big smile and a huge hug. I love her more! She is very special to me and I thank God for putting her in my life. I love the opportunity to give back what God has graciously given me. To God be the glory!
How is you Christian walk coming along?
