Step out in FAITH and TRUST God!
I had to step out in faith and trust God! That’s the only way I could write my book, “A Time To Reflect.” And that is what I’m doing now with my writings in GiJiM. So, what has God told you to do that you haven’t done yet? You just got to step out in faith and trust God!
I had to step out in faith…
I’m not a writer and I smile every time I think of it. Yes, I wrote a book and ever since then I’ve been writing for God. When God told me to write a book, the only thing I could do was step out in faith and trust Him. This is why God gets the credit for all of my writings. Because, honestly, I’ve never been interested in writing — not like this — so I know this is all God. He is the one that puts His extra on my ordinary and His super on my natural. And guess what? He will do the same for you because God is no respecter of person. If He did it for me, He’ll surely do it for you. Guaranteed!
God told me to write a book
When God told me to write a book I found every excuse not to do it, I thought “I’m not a writer.” Then He reminded me of Moses and his excuses. So I said, “Ok God I’ll write the book but You’ll have to tell me what to write.” Then He told me that He wanted me to write short messages and reference related Bible scriptures. And I said, “Lord, you got to be kidding! You know I don’t know Bible verses –not like that– much less where to find them. Lord, lead the way and I’ll follow.”
So every morning for about four months, the Holy Spirit woke me up at 4:00 a.m. with a message. My husband can attest to this. He didn’t quite understand what was happening but he knew something supernatural was going on. God gave him peace and wisdom to not intervene or interfere. Anyway, I’d get up, go to my computer and type the message then I’d open the Bible and there were the scriptures that related to the message. Truly amazing! Every time I think of this supernatural event I get goose bumps! I completed “A Time To Reflect” in four months, July 31, 2000. I stepped out in faith and trusted God. All God to glory!
Why God tells us to do things?
God test our obedience and how much we trust Him. One thing is to say we trust God but another thing is to show we trust God by doing what He tells us to do. God did this to show me that He can use ordinary people like you and me, no matter our natural limitations, to do extraordinary things for His honor and glory. The only thing we have to do is step out in faith and trust God because He alone has the power, in Jesus’ name, to make the ordinary extraordinary and the natural supernatural. Because Greater is Jesus in Me!
What does God expect from you and me?
God expects us to give Him the glory, that’s what He wants. Give God the credit He deserves for the things He is doing in you, for you and through you. Also, He expects us to go out and tell the world and not keep it to ourselves. He wants us to share with the world the marvelous things He has done and is doing in us, for us and through us. That’s what He expects!
